O’Nelly’s Sports Pub & Grill, under the proprietorship of Ohio Valley natives Joey & Tia (Burgy) Stropkai, opened in May 2013 in the Polaris Area.

O’Nelly’s, (Whoa..Nelly!), is a sports themed Irish Pub decorated in a stunning display of sports memorabilia and over 20 huge, high definition TVs. Much of the memorabilia is of Ohio Valley sports legends. There is also a large stage behind roll-out doors and many of the top, live musicians in the area have performed, an outdoor patio, two bars and ample seating. The atmosphere is energetic and fun-filled, especially on a game-day, during happy hour or weekend night! O’Nelly’s offers a full menu, which includes award winning wings, mouth-watering burgers or the gut busting “Working Man’s Yinzer” sandwich, topped with French fries and Cole Slaw Pittsburgh Style!

Joey, a Colerain native and 1990 graduate of Bellaire St. John Central, decided to pursue a lifelong goal of opening such an establishment, after nearly fifteen years of extensive experience in the bar and restaurant industry. Some of you may know Joey from when he helped open “The Nail City Brewery” in Wheeling.
Tia, a member of the Bellaire Big Red class of 1999, and West Liberty State College alum, at one time worked at a popular restaurant in Saint Clairsville.
